Cooperative-based Learning
Cooperative learning is when students are grouped together and asked to learn together. They understand that the success of the group depends upon everyone in the group learning the assigned material. Individual accountability can be checked randomly. However, group evaluation comes in the form of criteria-referenced systems. A very famous (in the world of education anyway) system is the Kagan system. The slides below will expand on four of the more important aspects of cooperative learning.
